It is the long numeric string that identifies your Google+ profile. It appears in your Google+ profile URL. For example: https://plus.google.com/106189723444098348646
2. Which is the difference between signing in with Google and directly providing my profile ID?
Users who decide to sign in with Google are granted access to a dashboard featuring real time statistics on their profile views and on how many people scanned their QR code to visit their profile as well as many other features. Users which are directly providing their profile ID will receive their selected short URL and associated QR code but due to privacy reasons without signing in will not be able to access their dashboard.

Nobody. The information we retain is only used to provide you with our services.

Go to http://myGP.is and simply sign in from the top-right corner of the page. Remember that in order to sign in you need to be logged in using your Google account.
8. I created my short URL signing in with Google, how can I access my dashboard?
Go to http://myGP.is and simply sign in from the top-right corner of the page. You will be automatically redirected to your dashboard.
9. I created my URL directly providing my profile ID, how can I access my dashboard?
Go to http://myGP.is and simply sign in from the top-right corner of the page. You will be asked to authorize myGP.is to access some basic information of your Google+ profile. Once the authorization is processed (few seconds) you will be automatically redirected to your dashboard.
10. I do not remember my short URL, can I retrieve it from the system?
Yes, your short URL is available in your dashboard.
11. I did not save my QR code, can I retrieve if from the system?
Yes, your QR code is available in your dashboard.
12. A spammer registered my profile ID - what happens next?
It might unfortunately happen that some spammers will manually register profile IDs which do not belong to them regardless of the various anti-spam measures that we implemented. If this happens with your profile ID we will ask you to verify your identity by signing in. Once this is done and we have confirmed you are the legitimate owner of a certain profile ID (this process is instantaneous) we will let you choose a new short URL for your profile.

17. Which kind of HTTP status code do you use?
We use a permanent redirect HTTP status code 301 for those short URLs created signing in with Google while we use status code of 302 for those URLs created inserting directly the Google+ profile ID. For those users which at first create their short URLs directly inserting their Profile ID and later on decided to sign in with Google – we upgrade their redirection status code to 301.
